We will be holding our November meeting early - on November 4, 2021 - to make sure we can weigh in on any runoff elections in the City of Miami and the City of Miami Beach that may be happening after November 2. Both the City of Miami and the City of Miami Beach will be holding runoff elections on November 16, 2021.

What are the runoff elections?

If there is a race where no candidate fails to win an outright majority (50% + 1 vote), that race will move to a runoff between the top two vote getters. There are several races in the City of Miami and the City of Miami Beach where there are crowded fields of candidates, and it is possible there may be a runoff on November 16

Our caucus may wish to reiterate our endorsement of a candidate we endorsed for the November 2 race, and/or we may wish to endorse in a race where we did not endorse before. We will not be seeking new questionnaires for this process (all of the questionnaires are available on our website for review here), but we will welcome any candidates who are in a runoff to speak at this meeting.
